NFT Drops & Launchpad
Mintpad Studio provides a self-serve platform that empowers artists, developers, and brands to deploy and launch their own NFT collections directly on Cronos. With our clone-factory architecture, you can deploy your own production-grade smart contracts in minutes without writing a single line of Solidity.
Deploying a collection on Mintpad uses high-efficiency minimal proxy smart contracts. Deployment costs under 100,000 gas (< $0.20 on Cronos), saving up to 98% compared to traditional smart contract deployments.
Key Features
- Self-Serve Deployment: Anyone can connect their wallet and deploy an independent ERC-721 drop contract with custom branding and supply limits.
- Multi-Phase Mint Schedules: Configure up to 4 sequential or overlapping sale phases with custom start and end dates.
- Merkle Proof Allowlists: Conduct private presales or VIP access tiers with gasless, cryptographically secure allowlist verification.
- Delayed & Instant Reveal: Launch with immediate artwork reveal or distribute placeholder metadata with 1-click on-chain reveal capability.
- Custom Payment Currencies: Accept native CRO, official USDC, USDC.e, or WCRO per mint phase.
- EIP-2981 On-Chain Royalties: Configure your secondary market royalties and recipient wallet directly in the deployment wizard.
- Trustless On-Chain Architecture: Every deployed drop is an independent, non-upgradeable contract owned exclusively by the creator.
Mint Phases & Allowlist Schedules
Mintpad supports up to 4 distinct mint phases per collection, allowing you to tailor your launch strategy to your community's needs.
Phase Configuration Options
Each phase can be customized with its own distinct parameters:
- Phase Name: A label visible to minters (e.g., *Allowlist Presale*, *Community Tier*, *Public Mint*).
- Mint Type:
- Public: Any wallet can participate without restrictions.
- Whitelist: Only pre-approved wallet addresses can mint by submitting a cryptographic Merkle proof.
- Price & Currency: Set the mint price per token in native CRO, USDC, USDC.e, or WCRO. Free mints are supported by setting the price to
0. - Limits:
- Max per Wallet: Limits how many total tokens an individual address can mint during this phase.
- Max per Transaction: Limits the batch size allowed in a single mint transaction to prevent network congestion.
- Schedule:
- Starts Immediately: Phase is active as soon as the contract is deployed.
- Specific Start Time: Set an exact calendar date and time for the phase to open.
- Optional End Date: Set an expiry time after which minting in this phase closes.
How Allowlists Work
Mintpad uses Merkle trees for allowlists, which store a single 32-byte cryptographic hash (the Merkle root) on-chain rather than storing thousands of individual addresses in expensive contract storage.
Zero Extra Gas Cost: Adding 5,000 allowlist addresses does not increase your deployment cost. The Merkle root is calculated locally in your browser, and collectors provide lightweight proofs when minting.
To configure an allowlist:
- Switch the phase mint type to Whitelist.
- Paste your allowlist wallet addresses into the text box (separated by commas or new lines).
- The wizard validates all addresses in real time, formats them to checksum standards, and filters out duplicates automatically.
Artwork & Metadata Configuration
Mintpad drop contracts are compatible with all standard ERC-721 metadata formats and decentralized storage providers.
IPFS Base URI
Provide the URI pointing to your metadata folder on IPFS or Arweave:
- Recommended format:
ipfs://<CID>/orhttps://ipfs.io/ipfs/<CID>/ - Token URIs will resolve as
<baseURI><tokenId>.jsonor<baseURI><tokenId>.
Delayed Reveal
If you want to keep the artwork a secret until minting concludes or a specific community milestone:
- Toggle Delayed Reveal in Step 2 of the launch wizard.
- Provide a Pre-Reveal Metadata URI pointing to a mystery box or unrevealed placeholder image and metadata JSON.
- Your primary metadata URI remains hidden on-chain. When you are ready to reveal, visit your collection management dashboard in Mintpad Studio and click Reveal Collection to submit the final base URI.
Protocol Economics & Fees
Mintpad operates on transparent, creator-friendly economics:
- 2% Mintpad Protocol Fee: For every 100 paid by a minter during primary drop phases, 2 goes to the Mintpad protocol and 98 goes directly to you.
- Zero Upfront Platform Fees: There are no platform setup charges or recurring monthly fees to launch a drop on Mintpad.
- Direct Withdrawals: Creators can call
withdraw()orwithdrawToken()at any time from their collection dashboard to withdraw accrued proceeds to their wallet.
Step-by-Step: How to Launch Your Drop
Launching your collection takes only a few minutes through the Mintpad Studio wizard:
Step 1: Collection Branding
- Navigate to Studio > Launch NFT Drop (
/studio/launch). - Enter your Collection Name (e.g., *Cyber Foxes*) and Token Symbol (e.g., *CFX*).
- Set your Max Total Supply (e.g., *1,000*).
- Upload a high-resolution Avatar / Profile Image (recommended 500x500px).
- Upload an optional Header Banner Image (recommended 1500x500px).
- Add your community social links (Website, X / Twitter, Discord).
Step 2: Drop & IPFS Setup
- Enter your primary IPFS Metadata URI.
- Choose between Instant Reveal and Delayed Reveal.
- Set your Creator Royalties percentage (e.g., 5.0%) and optional royalty recipient wallet.
Step 3: Mint Schedule
- Add your desired mint phases (up to 4 phases).
- Select Public or Whitelist for each phase.
- Set prices, wallet limits, and launch schedules.
Step 4: Review & Deploy
- Review your collection settings and the real-time Collection Page Preview.
- Click Deploy & Launch Drop.
- Approve the contract creation transaction in your connected wallet.
- Once confirmed on-chain, configure your phases and your collection drop page is live and ready for minters!
After launch, you can manage your collection, update sale phases, pause or unpause minting, and withdraw proceeds anytime from Studio > My Collections.
